Dr. Serina Hoover is a national award-winning psychologist with extensive training in medical rehabilitation and clinical neuropsychology. She is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Rehabilitation Psychology and has many years of experience in the forensic arena. As the Director of the Comprehensive Brain Injury Program at the nationally acclaimed Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, she supervises both clinical and research teams. Dr. Hoover is actively involved in training and mentorship, providing supervision and consultation to students, residents, psychiatry fellows, and other psychologists. In 2023, Dr. Hoover received the National Mentorship Award from Division 22 of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Hoover has evaluated and treated thousands of patients with brain injury, ranging from acute to chronic injury. She is the Past-President of the American Board of Rehabilitation Psychology and serves as the Board of Trustees Representative for the American Board of Professional Psychology. She holds numerous local and national leadership positions. She has lectures worldwide to medical and legal professionals on topics related to trauma, neuropsychology,, brain injury, and professional development. She is a Qualified Medical Evaluator for the State of California and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. She conducts neuropsychological and psychological evaluations and provides expert testimony regarding testing measures, results, and conclusions, for both civil and criminal proceedings.
